- Microphone
When you join a class and enable your microphone, your audio is captured and transmitted in real time to the instructor and other participants. Audio is not recorded or stored by the app for any other purpose.
- Camera
If you choose to turn on your video, your camera feed is transmitted to other participants during the class. The app does not record or store your video.
- Screen Sharing
If you choose to share your screen, the contents of your screen are captured and transmitted to other participants in real time, only while you have screen sharing active. You start and stop this yourself, and Android displays a system indicator while it is active.
- Foreground Services
While a live class is in progress, the app runs a foreground service so that your microphone audio, the audio of other participants, and screen sharing continue to work reliably even if the app moves to the background. A notification is shown for the duration of the class while this service is active. The service runs only during an active class and stops when you leave.
Audio and video data transmitted during live classes is handled in real time to enable the session and is not stored by the app afterward.
- Third-Party Services (Zoom)
Live class functionality is powered by the Zoom Meeting SDK provided by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. When you participate in a live class, certain data (such as your audio, video if enabled, and meeting connection information) is processed by Zoom to deliver the session. Zoom's handling of this data is governed by Zoom's own privacy policy, available at https://zoom.us/privacy . We recommend reviewing it to understand how Zoom processes meeting data.
